It is a matter of great pleasure to announce that we are organizing our 2nd International IPR conference at the garden city, Bangalore at Hotel laLiT Ashoke on 29th and 30th January 2010.The theme of the conference is “IP leveraging in Software, Electronics and Green Technology”. India’s service sector is growing consistently with a greater contribution from Information technology and software industry and it contributes almost 54% of its GDP. Electronic industry and software technology are complementary to each other in today’s era of knowledge, driven by Information and communication technology (ICT) .Innovation is the life line of ICT and is an important tool for the survival and growth of any business entity. Competitive intelligence and IP analysis or Freedom to operate (FTO) analysis are the essential tools for effective IP management.

Software patenting is a controversial subject as software is not per se patentable under the Indian patent laws but the same is patentable as per the U.S. patent laws. Indian software companies need to understand the correct implication for protecting their software rights by obtaining a copy right in India and a patent in U.S. Similarly the issues of technology transfer, merger and acquisition and the emerging importance of the green technology are some of the novel areas of the conference.

We have invited eminent speakers from one of the leading IP law firm M/s Sughrue Mion of U.S.A  and other experts from India to deliberate  on various important issues relating  to IPR. The participants are high value representatives from related industrial field and the conference will provide an opportunity for interface, networking, not only for knowledge sharing but also for business dialogue under one roof.
